I get a lot of energy from negative news. It has to contain an acceptable level of negativity, not be completely destructive. It’s where you get the feeling that things aren’t going quite how you imagined but you still have the feeling that everything is still possible.
A client recently
Didn’t renew my contract after initially telling me that we were moving forward. This incident was a good example. It didn’t bring me down, but quite the opposite. It generated a level of anger that I’m turning into something positive.
Yesterday I had an event that wasn’t like this but that will possibly generate a similar result. The second consulting project that I’ve been carrying out for more than a year seems to be in the final phase. It’s a big client and I work within a spin-off, a start-up of the big company. After the last meeting I found out things that don’t look good and I bahamas phone number library wouldn’t be surprised if within a couple of days they give me notice that things are not going to go ahead.

I updated my profile
On one of the platforms that I use to attract new consulting projects. In the process I reviewed the recent projects that had been published. I found one with the following title “Interim E-Commerce Manager Spanish speaker”. The description also fit. That project is made for me. This morning I even found the direct contact to call the agency directly and make sure that my profile is presented to the client.
Looking through my profile, I also remembered an old client who had wanted to resume a project with me for months, but for unknown reasons had not responded to my emails. I looked for his email, found his phone number and arranged a meeting with him for next week. He was even happy that I called him.
Then I remembered
A project where the client worked as a general manager for a Bundesliga team. He now lives in Italy and has moved to an even more interesting company. His old email no longer exists. I contacted him on LinkedIn. He responded and on Friday I spoke to him to make a proposal.
Once again I return to a topic I started. In that same project where I helped relaunch a website for the Bundesliga football team, I contacted a person who had not responded to me until then. It turns out that he had not seen my message. I received confirmation that I can take a step towards proposing the creation of a licensed product with his brand.
I think it is up to us whether one day it ends one way or another. Yesterday was one of those days where I couldn’t accept how it was going to end.
