Back to Ask Me Anything: New email builder

On September 15th, we introduced our new email builder to our customers during an “ Ask me anything ” session. Attendees were able to watch CEO Norman Pracht create an email and then have a Q&A session.

Here is a summary of all Back to Ask the information that was exchanged!

Do old created emails still work?
We made sure not to break anything from version 2 to version 3. Everything that is already created will still work.
Regarding new emails,Back to Ask  there are several cases available to you:

Email or existing theme:
If you edit an old email, the old builder will launch for the modifications and this also works with your old templates (an old template is not compatible with the new builder).

Template created by Webmecanik:
It will be converted to be used with the new email builder. You will find in your estonia email list templates the “converted” version, which will open with the new email builder.

New template:

A tutorial is available to create a template yourself very easily!

Can I save an email as a theme?
Not at launch. You have the ability to create a standard email and clone it to edit it. An improvement is planned later to give you this possibility.

Will it be possible to test the different variations in the test emails?
Not today, but it is a possible feature in functional developments.

Will it be possible to save some blocks to make them reusable?
Indeed, we can imagine having the possibility to save a block that you use bw lists regularly (title – text – CTA for example). We decided to provide you with the email builder since it covers all the existing features, this one would be a nice-to-have that we will think about!

Is there any change in the image library?

With major version 3, we have changed the file manager. When you are in the interface, you have a new library that you can organize into folders, subfolders, etc.

Should images be hosted before embedding them in the email?
No, you can, as today, import them at the time of creation or copy-paste the link incorporating these trackers into your daily routine of the image hosted elsewhere.

Do background images appear on all email boxes?
No, this feature is not supported on all email clients, such as some versions of Microsoft Outlook. But there’s nothing we can do about that!
