Fewer visitors, more sales. See how you can achieve it

Our aim is to attract the right traffic and the right visitors. What does the term “correct” mean in this case? We will analyze it below. For now keep this: a lot of times low traffic is preferable.

Most businesses focus their efforts solely on how to attract more visitors and increase traffic to their website. They use various techniques to achieve this, often unconventional and generally optimize their website pages based on the keywords that have the most monthly searches on Google.

Unfortunately, attracting as much traffic as possible, commercially, is not the best possible strategy for a successful website and ultimately costs more. Traffic that does not convert into sales is considered “useless” traffic. So, if thousands of people visit your website or eshop but few buy, then you are doing something wrong.

The hunt for many visitors turns out to be a witch hunt after all…

If you want to succeed online  website and not the number of visitors . A website with a high conversion rate and low traffic performs better than another with high traffic and a low conversion rate. Let’s see an example to understand better. Let’s say we have two friends, Dimitris and Vassilis, who both have an online shoe store:

  • Dimitris’ eshop is visited by approximately 2,000 unique users per month, because it appears in the first position of Google for the key phrase “economical men’s sports shoes”. Dimitris makes 100 sales per month, his phone number library conversion rate is 5%.
  • Vassilis’ eshop is visited by approximately 20,000 unique users per month, because it appears in the first position of Google for the popular keyword “shoes”. Vassilis makes the same sales (s.p. 100) as Dimitris, but in this case the conversion rate is 0.5%.

Then you should focus on the conversion rate of your

So both eshops have the same number of sales, 100. But why does this happen? How is it possible that Vassilis’ eshop has the Ang imong negosyo aron maghatag taas nga kalidad nga mga same conversions as Dimitris’s since it is visited by 10 times more people?

And yet it is not at all strange and the cn leads reasons may be different. For example, Basil’s keyword, “shoes”, includes a single word ( one-word keyword ) and is therefore very general. People who use one-word keywords in their searches are overwhelmingly not interested in buying. They are simply looking for general information on the topic that concerns them.
